Target Oriented Golf in association with Sportsmind is delighted to present 2 day golf psychology workshops in Sydney for professional and aspiring amateur golfers. These unique workshops will teach you how to master the mental and emotional aspects of golf and provide you with practical tools you can use to immediately shoot lower scores, stay focused and confident under pressure and achieve the centredness and anxiety-free state needed to play golf to your true potential.

The best golfers have an unshakeable confidence and a positive emotional control that enables them to excel under pressure. However, like other attributes, confidence and positive emotional control are learned behaviours and can be improved with the right training. You will discover how to develop your confidence and master negative emotions to get into the peak performance zone using simple, practical techniques suitable for both practice and competition.

Additionally and irrespective of your technical ability, golfers need to understand the art of attentional focus for it lies at the heart of your inconsistent performance. This critical golf skill is simply not achievable unless you are mentally trained for it is erroneous thought processes in competition which destroys your performance. These advanced golf seminars present you with the key to unlock the doorway to your true golfing potential. If you are serious about your golf, as we are, do not miss this world class coaching experience in Australia to learn leading edge mental skills, essential to the success of all golfers.

You will leave this 2 day workshop with practical pre and post shot MENTAL routines to practice on the range, demonstrating where, when, why and how to guide your attentional focus throughout keeping you relaxed, concentrated and target oriented on course. The erroneous thoughts in competition destroy those great golf swings practiced on the range by altering your physiology and destroying your ability to focus on target.

You will learn how to develop simple and repeatable pre and post shot routines which can be used for every golf shot on the course. The Assessing, Planning and Practice phases of your pre-shot routines will always vary dependent on the shot to be played. The Execution phase can be identical for ALL shots, from the first tee to the last putting green. The simplicity and clarity of target orientation will give you the confidence to perform at new levels.

Jeffrey will present "Mastering Your Emotions" and will provide simple, practical techniques to consistently get into the peak performance state, stay confident and build unshakeable self belief in your abilities on the golf course. Jeff specialises in training the SUB-CONSCIOUS mind.

Colin will present "Attentional Focus For Golf", what it is and how to achieve it consistently for golf. Some call it the Zone but do not understand how they get there or why they can leave it so quickly! Comprehensive theory will be discussed in the morning sessions and demonstrations of how to apply the theory in the afternoon sessions. Colin specialises in training the CONSCIOUS mind.

Presented over 2 days our independent, yet complementary theories of mind, truely represent a golf coaching experience like no other on the planet and one which any dedicated golfer can not afford to miss. Please remember to bring along your clubs. We will be indoors but you will be able to practice the routines being presented on the superb golf simulators at ICG. The PGA Pro's at ICG will also be available to answer any questions you may have.

Come along and learn how to trust your physical self so you can focus on playing golf and perform!

Feedback from attendees at a recent conference offers a taste of what you can expect:

"The Sportsmind conference gave an insight into usable mental skill techniques with an addition of an introduction into how to use attentional focus to improve performance. The sessions were leading edge, linking the body to the mind with the emphasis on getting the most out of both."

Trent Hole & Shaz Angel, PE Teachers, Balmoral State High School, Brisbane.

"Course was great - all sessions were great - I haven't stopped telling everyone I know about it, "getting in the zone" etc..."

Spiro Anemogiannis, Managing Director, Informa Australia.

Great feedback from a talented UK teenager already living with a new golf paradigm:

"Hi Colin,

Ive just come home from my club championship and I won by 6 shots! (2 rounds of golf). I must say I genuinley owe it to you 100% as I have found an awareness that I never had before! I shot 67 in my 1st round, 4 birdies and an eagle, and 75 in my second round (maybe just a coincidence but exacly the same score as the man who shot an 88 then 75 on your website, I was 1 under through 9, then got ahead of myself, and took an unncessesary risk which cost me an 8!)

I will definitely look into coming to a seminar as today has proved to me (if I needed any more!) that TOG is incredibly important, well, the most important aspect of good golf. The strange thing is that it doesnt feel like I struck the ball particurlaly well, but just seemed to get the job done.

I hope to meet you sometime in the near future and discover more! Cheers, Sam (Hainsworth Park club champion!) "

"Hi Jeffery!

I haven't spoken to you in a while so I thought I would drop you an email and give you a bit of a progress report! You will be glad to know that following our later sessions on visulising my future if you recall I had wanted to pass my playing requirements to get full membership with the PGA and start playing the main Australian Tour...

... well as of last Monday I have passed my playing requirements and am now a full member of the Australian PGA. If you also recall I had set a goal to win my first professional event which I achieved last Monday by shooting 66 (6 under par) at the Glades Golf Club. It is interesting that following our sessions I printed out a piece of paper which simply said "66 - play the shot, not the moment" and stuck it on my wall so it was the first thing I saw in the morning and the last thing I saw at night. With all the pressure on Monday's round (I had to shoot 74 or better to get my card), I was able to feel calm and focussed because of all the work we did together. Not only that but 66 is the lowest score I have had in a professional event and it was my first ever bogey free round!! Jeffery I can't thank you enough for what you have showed me, I feel so empowered and energized to go onto bigger and better things!!.
